I am now really starting to believe that much of the KKK, etc. burning of black churches in 1960s would not have happened without FBI paid informants and agents. Made for great press, increase in funding and made them look like heroes for "catching the bad guys."

if you cannot obtain proof of local employment over a few years do not allow him in. no spook has ever worked in a trade field for cover.

Smaller salaries means that people won't be as interested in spending lots of time trying to destabilize the nation "to protect the people" (or however the FBI PR people try to explain away this entrapment).

They have performance reviews, like all government bureaucrats. Being able to write, "I did such and such a thing which led to the arrest and conviction of a domestic terrorist" is a nice talking point for a performance review.

I don't disagree entirely, however an Importent distinction - The less money the Government receives, the less money it can spend on ways of doing damage to the common man - not necessarily resulting in less damage, just less avenues/ vectors for damage.
