I read somewhere that he tossed an empty water bottle at Tyson and that was the final straw. I don't have corroborating evidence of that being part of the missing footage, but that'd sure do the trick in earning a beating.
I'm sure the plane has cameras that caught this.
You throw something at me after pestering me, annoying me with words, and I politely tell you to leave me alone.... and you throw anything at me? Yeah we're fighting now. I might get my ass kicked, but gotta stand up for yourself. Throwing something at someone is probably considered "assault" by legal definition.
If true, Tyson showed a good deal of restraint. Most of us wouldn't. Most of us would've tried to maim that fucker, knock teeth out or put him unconscious. Tyson beat him like a guy who owed him money- hard enough to send a message, but not so hard that the fucker can't go get his money for him eventually.
Tyson knows as a pro boxer he has to be careful hitting a civilian to the point of serious injury. He could face serious jail time and a massive lawsuit.
