Maine is tricky though. I guess it's depending upon where you live because when I drove through Maine last month every coastal area I went to had a bunch of pink and purple haired pussy faggots running around. I thought I was at an antifa rally every time I went to the grocery store.

Damn! I wish I knew you were going to be here. The coastline is beautiful, all 3200 miles of it.

You have to stay away from the coast to avoid the majority of lefties here. In the summer we get A LOT of lefty tourists too, they double and triple coastal populations.

The best parts (to me) of Maine are the mountains, lakes, streams and ponds away from the coast and especially those tourists (aka "flatlanders").

I've been up through Baxter State Park years ago as well as the whites over in the western side of Maine. That was fun. One of the nice things about the state park was you could rent canoes for free . So I did that a couple times and just canoed around some ponds and lakes.

I didn't stay in Maine I had actually shot through to get to Canada so it was only there for a night.

My cousin about 2 years ago went out and bought himself 40 acres in the middle of nowhere Montana and built a cabin on it. He lives there by himself and I thought it was kind of ridiculous at first but now I can see why. It's just a fucking mess out here and why deal with it on a daily basis.

After seeing and reading posts here I can better understand what people are dealing with elsewhere ... and yes I am very thankful to be here and not there. There is a sect in Russia, and purportedly some parts of Alaska, called the "Old Believers".

They separated from mainstream Russian Orthodoxy around 1667 (en.wikipedia.org), with many sects simply declaring "Fuck it", and moving to remote parts of Siberia, which were owned by nobody, simply so they could practice their religion in peace, without interference from the Orthodox Church, the Russian Aristocracy, or really anyone.

And a lot of them were actually pretty successful, for several hundred years.

However, in 1951, a Soviet plane accidentally took a wrong turn in Siberia, and ended up spotting (loc.gov) a community of the "Old Believers", reporting their presence back to their commander, who in turn reported it to his commander, as all bureaucrats do, and it went up the chain, until it reached the Soviet Kremln.

The Krasnoiarsk Office of the Ministry of State Security conducted an investigation and tried thirty-three persons. All those indicted were convicted under Article 58-10, Part 2 and Article 58-11 of the Soviet Criminal Code to prison terms ranging from ten to twenty-five years.

For the crime of simply minding your own business in Siberia.

My point is, the State does not like it when people mind their own business.

As a matter of fact, the State only exists for the purpose of minding your business for you.

Any attempt to mind your own business is an explicit threat to their authority.

And they do not look kindly on that.
