Yeah for the $100K they spend on them you could have bought 50-100 acres a few years ago and a nice little cabin. Instead they got a huge depreciating asset to sit in an RV park with less privacy than a ranch in suburbia.

And when they break down, spics rescue them

I can't imagine the money wasted on diesel for those things.

Would you prefer we deport them on jet airplanes instead of diesel powered buses?

Maybe they ALSO own land? Besides, many states allow RVs to park on the side of the road.

Lol wow that is breathtaking. It looks kinda photoshopped there.

Building up a property and making it self sufficient is something rewarding and cheap. I can't imagine getting much out of parking a RV in a field and sitting in a lawn chair all day.

Don't make me post a million pics, breh. It was the first from a 'rv life' image search.

Besides, sitting in a chair all day is hardly the point. The point is, you pull over when you feel like it, and move on when you feel like it.

Gotta take all the comforts of home when they go "camping"

My wife and I bought a little 1985 Toyota Dolphin Motorhome. We ditched all our stuff and went RVing for 1.5 years. That Toyota got 16 MPG back then. Went all over. Worked in Denny's restaurants when we needed money. It was fun. When the 1st grandkid was born, we sold the RV to my sister.

Good times. No regrets.

The boomer dream seems to be to travel around the country, seeing what every state has to offer.

The skinniest way to travel is by motel. Just book into a modest motel when it gets near dark. Sometimes you get breakfast -- yeaaaah! Usually the breakfist consists of a couple of break rolls that have been sitting around for a week. When you need something, go to a Walmart or drug store and buy it. When you travel this way, you take nothing with you but the clothes you are wearing and your credit card. Buy packs of underware and socks when you need them. Buy a shirt and pants when you need them. Throw the old ones away, or put them in a Salvation Army box. I mean, really, when you think about it, why would you want to be hauling your bed around with you as you travel? That's nuts.

Because hotels and motels add up if you’re staying at nice places like national parks.

And listen to some drunks/tweakers fucking all night, as your calls to the manager fall on deaf ears cuz he's scared of them.

Source: I have stayed in a lot of motels.
