My initial goal coming here was to stay current, discuss in depth politics, gain in depth insight from other intelligent perspectives, discuss and debate interesting theories, have some fun, make some friends. I've been getting very little of what originally attracted me to POAL since about the time Trump47 took office.

Happy? Lol! I needed a break from POAL, now I have it. I've been glued to social media for too long of a stretch and it appears to be from habit. I just negotiated and signed the first contract to off some major road work that I've been putting off in my subdivision at the town's request today, no more waiting. My first big step to getting major shit done again. Feels Great! Working on some new RFQs for tree cutting next. Then there are association memos so residents know WTF is about to happen, setting up/preparing for the next association meetings and election of officers, contracting a PE for as built infrastructure analysis, filing paperwork for road acceptance as a town maintained road, more meetings, on and on. then I have major plans for my house and need to get all that rolling to start next spring. Plenty to keep me very busy and you inadvertently helped me to kick this bad habit. Far more valuable use of my time than taking mind numbing verbal abuse from lightweights who can't understand any more than superficial depths of complexity - for no good reason whatsoever. Getting away from computers and getting shit done IRL makes me very happy. A refreshing change of lifestyle. Gotta go, got shit to do! I've wasted too much time here already tonight.
