Damn... Our Pennsylvania driving system is fucked
A lot of PA cars come to Ohio when they fail inspection.
I've driven some cars here in Ohio that you could reach through suspension parts. I've seen some truly horrendous wrecks being driven here, as long as it has lights and (sometimes) a windshield, no one cares.
So Ohio is like thunderdome?
Not quite, but close. You can get a tube-frame dune buggy licensed here without much issue.
Certain things, like trailers, only need a bill of sale title.
I had to help a friend transfer a trailer to PA once, from Ohio. PA wanted current plates, so I took the unfilled title to the DMV here, got plates (they didn't care) and we transferred it to PA. "Sold" him the trailer for $25 just to make it look legit.
How easy is it for a PA resident to register their vehicle in Ohio?
You would need to take it to an Ohio DMV where they would verify the title and the mileage. You'll need to get an Ohio title generated, and purchase plates. Other than that, I don't think there's really any unusual things - we don't have inspections anymore.
