When I was born my mom got me a kitten. She wanted me raised with a cat. He was a little black kitten and he was named Craddy Cat. He died of heart failure in my arms when we were 16.
I asked my mom why he was named that and she said when she got him they thought he was a little black girl and so named him Craddy Ann. When he grew balls it was changed to Craddy Cat. She said Craddy Ann was a black girl in some racist joke my dad used to tell. She swears she'd tell me if she remembered it but she can't.
Anyone know it? For context, I was born in 1978.
