Maybe I'm blind but say I change my mind and I'm in the new post page or the edit post page, I can't cancel it. I have to click on the back button or click a link to get out. It would be convenient to have a cancel button to return you to the previous page.

I use brave browser and there is no keyboard shortcut to go back. So I have to drag my mouse up the screen to click the browser back button. This reply page has a cancel button. Why not the new post and edit page?

If you're on your phone the back button is the android back button which is on the bottom right of your phone. The foward button is located in a menu (three dots) top right of the screen and it's an arrow pointing to the right like this ->.

It's a bad implementation I know...

I use both, but currently on desktop so that's where it's more bothersome.

Back button is top left on brave desktop. You may need to show/unhide the toolbar in settings or something.

Since you can submit a text/link post from anywhere on poal, where should that cancel button send you then?

Ideally back to the page you just came from. If not there, then the sub page you were on or the home page?

That's what the poal logo is for.

Adding a cancel button for a submit popup would make sense, but for a submit page, the only way to leave it is to click anywhere (logo, home button, top menu sub links...). Defining a button with a default redirect will only bring complains because users would demand to have it to direct to different endpoints.
