Humans are territorial animals, and as territorial animals we use warfare to clear out territory of our competitors and then use signalling as territorial markers that not only determine where our territory lies but warns intruders to not trespass.
One of the ways that you can establish control over your enemies territory is to SLOWLY move your population into your enemies territory and install your signalling idols and slowly remove theirs. In the not distant future, as the earth loses itsprotective magnetic field (accelerating rapidly now as the poles shift ) a good sized solar flare (that happen on s fairly regular basis , last earth directed one was carrington event) will knock out all electronics. Even fema acknowledges this with a 4-10 year schedule to restore power. Our food/transport/monetary systems having collapsed will cause much of the population to starve or fight each other. Unless you have prepped as well as the government with massively stocked underground bases, likely you will die too.can you feed your family and everyone nearby with zero mechanical help?
