Screw this company, Im not staying around for this dumb project. Not only that, there is so much intrinsic domain knowledge around this task, i cant understand why they would give it to a newbie of all people. Or maybe that was the point, have newbie take on the work, and fail so the company looks good. Wasn't us, was the new hire!

Do a good job, finish the work, and if you hate the company then find a new one, but don't quit half way through. Quitting projects is a great way to become a loser in life.

I know, this project is just frustrating me because its clear I was not the right person for this task. It's like asking the intern to do some complex TS project, feels weird to me

So ask questions, learn, and get qualified. Why are you seeing this as a hassle? It's a fucking opportunity. You must be a millennial.

If you are salaried, that comes with the territory.

Didnt used to be this way, 10 years ago the hours were somewhat resaonable and normal. Now all modicum of respect towards employees is gone
