Contractors here are or were...Addicts.
It's weird i payed the guy for his work, nominally, but even for the hundred bucks i gave him it felt like i was getting ripped off. On top of that his attitude was horrible, swore all the time, dragged me into his personal problems, etc
You can't get a mexican from a Home Depot parking lot here for less than $200 PLUS lunch. A reputable tradesman won't get out of bed here for less than $300 a day and his work, with any luck will be acceptable. Also a lot of these "tradesman" have been to prison and construction is the only job that doesn't care what you are as long as you can do the work. On top of that his attitude was horrible, swore all the time, dragged me into his personal problems, etc That's just Par for the course these days...
Are they licensed and insured?
No
Lol wtf. Licensed and insured contractors travel for work. Don't hire uninsured people to work on your property
