The body ages and the psychology does not. Just wait until your in your 60's and want to roller blade but worry about breaking bones.
I met a guy in his late 80s who was roller skiing (cross country skiis with basically roller blade wheels on the bottom). He was just going around a paved path, but he could keep up to me on a bike, and was able to talk while keeping that pace. He told me how great it is for zero impact on the knees but still gives great cardio.
Now that sounds interesting!
