While the nurses were dancing, us IT people were digging up the data required for reporting to the Feds. So dumb. It was all sooo dumb. And now they wonder where all the money is and why we lost 10% of IT when the mandated the vax for those of us who already worked from home.

My boss's boss keeps saying he's going to replace us with it, but so far I'm not seeing any implementations that are working as he expects, especially for the more highly technical and specialized people.
Call centers, level 1 support has been replaceable for years. The stuff low level pajeets do. That is being replaced but those jobs have been outsourced for a long time, now.

Every decision by directors are retarded. They go into meetings, get the "we will add/remove this which will increase productivity!" Without understanding why those things existed in the first place.
Years later, when it shows how much money it costs, they go back to "what was before, but..." instead of doing what the technicians and people working say.
As for how I feel about AI, it's like calculators, best in the hands of mathematicians, who already have an understanding of math.
