I can't stand later versions of Windows, and I hate fucking with file share networking in linux when it's not a wired machine.

For all it's shit, Windows handles laptop networking better than anything else out there.
I've never been able to get any of the other systems to reliably disconnect from SMB shares gracefully. System V would if you got the planets just right, but everything else just goes to shit if the wireless and the share get into a race with one another.
