Or they could’ve just made a good show and said fuck off to the woke crowd…and made money. But seriously…thinking through it just now, what’s the end goal? They literally spend a billion on it for what? How many subscriptions do they think they’ll sell - even with the most optimistic targets there’s no way they come out ahead. So they lose money regardless of the outcome. Fans are going to be pissed off regardless of the outcome; there’s no way they can create something to satisfy the masses in this day and age. 35% of the people will be pissed off by whatever choices are made. The estate comes out richer, but knowing they’ve completely sold out their forefathers creation. What a shit position to be in for them. Literally nobody wins here…except the only people who ever benefit from the degradation of our society, our greatest works. There is really no benefit to anyone in the world by this choice. It is one more mainstay, one more piece of our culture that is ruined……….
