The notion that climate change specifically global warming will be bad thing is dumb. We dont know where the new wet areas will be, but they will happen, we do know that the majority of land in the north hemisphere is empty, and not used because its too cold. If it gets warmer, huge swaths of canada, and russia, will become the new great plains, and the eastern US may turn into a new Amazon. Sure shitholes on the coast will have to be moved a little inland, but the long term gains for humanity could be huge.

It's one of the most precisely predictable things in nature. All you need is a contour map to be able to see where n additional inches of water will inundate.

That depends on a lot. If the climate of large flat areas with good soil becomes too arid for reliable agriculture people will starve no matter how much extra land opens up in Canada or Russia. Even if that doesn't happen, the distribution of rainfall and freshwater would certainly be affected. That is also a life or death situation.
I disagree because it doesnt happen over night. The front line currently is Las Vegas and parts of California. Theyre pretty much on the path to being fucked anyway.
You can disagree, but you're wrong. You can't pick up the soil from the US Great Plains and move them to the rocky soil of Canada, even if you had 500 years to do it. Loss of agricultural land is the biggest threat to humans. Not to mention the loss of temperate conifer forests which supply our wood.
