When I smoked pot I couldn't afford the good stuff so I had to buy the Mexican dirt weed. Plus no one really knew about what strains did what where I was from. So I'd always buy the weed that made me paranoid when I was able to afford the good stuff. I grew some pot once in my closet and smoked it and honestly it tasted like sea salt. I got insanely high. it left just as quick as it entered and I honestly felt great afterwards. So I guess one has to find the strain that works for them the best. I haven't touched pot in 20 years, so I'm not really one to be in the debate. but I can see the newer stuff being so strong blasting people's brains away if they don't find what works for them the best.

I agree. When i smoke Indica while playing guitar I feel bored kinda and don't come up with cool licks. But when I smoke Sativa I get super creative and more into playing.

Rotating strains is a valid tactic for decreasing habit formation, though. Weed isn't one drug, it's dozens upon dozens, and the ways they interact with each other in the synapse varies by strain.
That's why legalization and regulation is so crucial. It's possible to approach weed like a grown-ass adult, but it helps a LOT to know what the fuck is in the box
At this point in my life I really don't have any interest in starting again. I'm not saying all my pod experiences were bad at all actually. I just wish I could have afforded the better stuff. The guys were trying to retire off of a pound of weed back in the day. So they were charging ridiculous prices for ounces and anything below that.
