A few years ago, I taped a compass to a bookshelf that's built into the room, with the indicator rotated perfectly to magnetic north.
It's no longer matching up to magnetic north. The difference is tiny, but observable.

Sadly no caves near me, but we moved to a place where we think we have as good a chance as any of surviving the multiple challenges that will be pressed upon us. This. Climate is driven by the sun and our distance from it. A few PPM difference in CO2 doesn't matter. There were far higher CO2 concentrations in ancient history with lower temperatures. Volcanoes pump out more CO2 than humanity ever will.

I've read the Adam and Eve story. The suspicious observer guy is onto something, but he's a little too sure of himself when it comes to what will happen. That said, he's a hell of a lot closer to the truth than "climate scientists".
