It turns out, electricity is easy to generate using multitudes of forms. This is just one. The earth itself is a giant capacitor. Current flows through the earth all the time. Pretty much all electricity comes from the sun: it heats up and causes wind, causes water to fall and flow, sends photons through silicone and so on. I doubt this technology will go very far. It seems expensive to build. Yea, it will get cheaper over time, but it just sounds too complicated and people don't actually understand how it works.
