To add onto the fake wallet bit. Load it with a couple bills and fake credit cards so that the thief thinks it is your actual wallet. Using a bit of actual cash in it can be helpful. Better to lose 20 bucks or so then your real wallet be in jeopardy.
Particularly useful to do on a international vacation. Also a good idea to keep it less secure so pickpockets take that one.
