Radioactive Waste is totes ok in the ocean, derp!

Then why fuck around with expensive containment facilities and such? According to your "logic", you might as well just make nuclear reactors right in the fucking ocean and let the waste float away on its own.

there equipment failed, did you not know this? I believe it was the cooling pumps then it went into meltdown and they used sea water to help cool it somehow

im not wrong, the pacific is kinda huge, plus radioactivity is pretty common anyways

also as far as "containment" i assume you mean a dyke.... you have to continually pump water, there is no way to contain it at that point.

i think they under normal operation just recirculate and cool the water down and reuse it otherwise. i could be wrong tho
