Point blank range means where the sight cross hairs meet at the same visual point with the arc flight path of the round down range. Point blank range can be changed by, but not limited to, grain size round used, gun powder purity/content/amount. Jacket used. Primer, temperature of muzzle and quality of manufacturing in all those aspects. And even humidity & temp of environment not to mention wind. Etc.

Setting point blank range -setting sights to desired range of crosshairs on target point blank. That’s what Scope adjustment if for.

arc flight path of the round down range

INCORRECT !

The bullet path traverses two points in space meeting the sight cross hairs... a FEW FEET from the gun as it arcs upwards on an angle for later decent, and a second point down rage.

If you bothered to read the nice TIL post you would know that point blank of all guns is in two spots... a FEW FEET from the gun, and many yards away from the gun.

NOT solely "down range" as you aserted!

Point blank range always is a few feet from gun AND another point in space, many yards away down range.

Read the article.
