I don’t see where in the Bible the “unthinking unfeeling slave of god” assumption can be cited. Also if you read the OT anytime the Hewbrews started integrating with other tribes and worshiping satanic idols and demonic entities and even sacrificing children God handed them over to their enemies and let all sorts of evils befall them until someone came along and brought them back to the original law. The entire thing was a setup from the snake until the end to prove that we couldn’t ever be good enough to follow the rules on our own and thus needed a savior, but at the core all of reality as we know it is a theatrical world where evil was allowed so the son of God could be the hero to slay the dragon and save us all. It’s the ultimate Dad mode scenario, give his kid the ultimate trials and become the ultimate hero and then eventually rule the fully restored world. Even in earthly human politics we can see that no government is ever effective or without flaws, the only viable option would be an authoritarian monarchy where the king is without evil or selfish intent and is fully good and righteous, thus we will never have stable or incorruptible long term government until a truly sinless king returns to earth.
