If you want buy-it-for-life quality, find a commercial SpeedQueen dealer (commercial I can't stress this enough) and get the simple well-built (expensive) models that don't break.
May have to figure out install on your own, but distributor may offer indoor delivery & services, maybe haul-away of old units.
I don’t own one, but I can second that SpeedQueen is good stuff. There was an appliance place in my town that closed up (retired) but they did great repair work. The owner/repairman only would recommend SpeedQueens because they use better parts in them.
