More Jewish revisionism. It's actually a southern thing. "Boy" is casually used in many situation. It's commonly used when speaking to the young. It's also used to express social rank or familiarity. It's very informal.

As blacks frequently think and behave like children they were frequently called "boy." It referenced both their mental capacity and low social rank. It was never exclusively applied to non-whites. Which means it's not a racial word.
