The deaf community likes to go to live shows particularly those where the music can be felt in their butts and bones.
Are they actually like looking at the signer guy though, or you know, watching the show like everyone else?
My son goes to lots of metal concerts, and pretty much said what @PlatosCaveman said. The deaf are rocking out through their asses. Lamb of God had this enthusiastic ASL signer (m.youtube.com) on board for a while!
Yep. A lot of venues will reserve space up front for deaf folks so they can view the interpreter and feel the bass. I once watched a hot chick at TOOL show turn ASL into a bonafide bad ass performance.
Well I'll be. Ya learn something new. I assumed it was like some law that you must provide sign for any public event that no one paid attention to.
