For those of you in California, New York, Illinois and the rest of those habitually BLUE states, Texas is a BAD place. These articles are just a ploy to get you to move here. Stay at home. Please. You'll HATE the tornadoes, the hurricanes and 'gators along the coast, the locust plagues, the 10-foot rattlesnakes, 150-degree heat with 90% humidity.... not a nice place.
Can concur. I'm staring down an alligator in my backyard right now.
My lady and I are actually house hunting right now. The odd struggle is our budget is nice cookie cutter houses or low end baller places (5+ acres, pool, house too big). It actually is making shopping more difficult. We don't want a big house we just can't find the right mix. Probably going to end up building our own.
