Freezing pipes, we are in Tx after all My outside faucets are protected better than ever this year but Im sure my neighbors arent. If they say 13 that means the cities, prob more like 10 out here and next day freezing also, pipes are breaking.

Do you have a shutoff valve inside your house for the faucets outside? If so, turn on the faucets outside and then close the valve from inside the house so all of the water past that valve is drained and then you won't have breaking pipes.

Nope, Im in the country, we have multiple outside faucets as far away as a few hundred yards. My water line from the meter is almost a mile long.

I'm dreading the weather too. Hopefully everything is ok.

An option you may consider, crate train your pup. Never know when it will be handy. They like it as well, especially if you make it cave like.

Yeah, I dont care Im not going to work friday, Im not gonna make Dog go from inside to outside that cold. He has a heat lamp but its only a reptile type lamp. Im afraid a real heat lamp may melt his plastic doghouse. (its under a covered porch)

Unless your dog is a hairless breed, 10 degrees isn't very cold to them. They will go out and do their business. If you get snow, they'll play a bit. If they get cold they will come right back inside.

But I wouldnt be here to let him back inside. And when you go from 80 to 13 or less its a thing.
