Do you have a shutoff valve inside your house for the faucets outside? If so, turn on the faucets outside and then close the valve from inside the house so all of the water past that valve is drained and then you won't have breaking pipes.

Nope, Im in the country, we have multiple outside faucets as far away as a few hundred yards. My water line from the meter is almost a mile long.

I assume most of the pipe is underground, is it possible to rejig it so the faucet is directly in your house and won't freeze?
