There is no storage of the energy so it isn't possible to have the energy produced in a small time last for 24 hours. Wind turbines do work, but wind farms overall don't. For a lot of time that a wind farm is in service, it is disconnected from the grid to meet power demands versus power supplies. The grid cannot be overloaded with consumption or overburdened with supply. It's a careful dance between supply and demand that is necessary to keep the grid and its equipment from being damaged and causing cascading failures. Same goes for solar farms and other intermittent and variable electricity generation methods. They get cut off the grid very often just to keep things safe and operational. It's a really bad idea to have so many wind and solar farms compared to coal, nuclear and natural gas powered conventional power plants. We need to go back and ditch this expensive and wasteful green bullshit.
