To each his own !
When making chili. I prefer a 50/50 mix of ground venison / bison and pork. Grass finished beef would be my third choice. I have plenty of dried beans in my prepper stash, but don't make a habit of eating them on a regular basis.
When times get tough though survival supersedes culinary preferences.
