Writing books USED to be solely about giving the reader a good experience (at least that is what writers aspired to). Now it is about pushing a liberal narrative and/or the writer inserting themselves into their writing to try and get people to like them. You can see this in damn near any article written in more than the last 10 years. They always start off with some bullshit like the writer was making a cup of coffee, looking out the window of their cabin at the early morning, seeing the last bit of the fog dissipating and then they get some idea that they felt worthy of writing that article about. Their articles all smell like someone hoping some publisher is going to read their shit and just be so enamored with their writing that they get a book deal. The more they write, the more desperation bleeds through the pages of how they are just bitter that they haven't had a book published yet.
