My big goal this year is to prepare the house for NativeJR. Which is going to be pretty ambitious as MRS. Native wants to put in completely new floors which is going to be a massive job.

I also want to get about 50 quail, so will need to build them a completely new pen and set up fortunately that shouldn’t be too difficult I don’t think.

I would also like to grow bunnies and that will be a lot of work because you have to make several pens to separate the men and the women and the babies since rabbits are pretty violet and will kill the babies if you aren’t careful.

I’m hoping for a great harvest on garlic (which I already planted) and hoping my three rhubarb plants will take off this year.

Basically home renovations is the big thing. I cut down my booze a lot and it’s basically just once a month now and I’m hoping to cut it back to just special events this coming year.

I also want to focus on cutting down my debt, it jumped up quite a bit and my household is now just a one income family so we have to be more careful with money. Though if the rabbits and quail take off this year, that should really save a lot of money on meat.

The food isn’t that expensive for them. Tell you what though, gardening is $$$ buying good soil is NOT cheap.

I made a comment the other day about my quail. Do it, get some quail. What kind are you looking at?

I already have two Japanese hens and want to keep them Japanese but the problem is that there aren’t any pure Breds around my parts and it’s difficult to mail eggs where I live so I may just have to get Courtonix and make muts.

I love my hens though. Quail are the most underrated bird. People who buy chickens instead are making a mistake

I say the same thing about quail being underrated. I didn't realize you've got a couple now, so you'll be fine.
