My big goal this year is to prepare the house for NativeJR. Which is going to be pretty ambitious as MRS. Native wants to put in completely new floors which is going to be a massive job.

I also want to get about 50 quail, so will need to build them a completely new pen and set up fortunately that shouldn’t be too difficult I don’t think.

I would also like to grow bunnies and that will be a lot of work because you have to make several pens to separate the men and the women and the babies since rabbits are pretty violet and will kill the babies if you aren’t careful.

I’m hoping for a great harvest on garlic (which I already planted) and hoping my three rhubarb plants will take off this year.

Basically home renovations is the big thing. I cut down my booze a lot and it’s basically just once a month now and I’m hoping to cut it back to just special events this coming year.

I also want to focus on cutting down my debt, it jumped up quite a bit and my household is now just a one income family so we have to be more careful with money. Though if the rabbits and quail take off this year, that should really save a lot of money on meat.

The food isn’t that expensive for them. Tell you what though, gardening is $$$ buying good soil is NOT cheap.

What is everyone else looking forward to?

I have no concrete goals for the coming year, nor will I make any resolutions. 2019 was the year I got my shit in order, and I was enthusiastically anticipating 2020, certain I would continue this growth. You can guess why I'm somewhat reluctant this time around. At least I managed to keep my head above water, and not fall back into old habits. There was little to no growth, though no stagnation either. So, if I have any goal for 2021, it would be to again keep my head above water, and try to continue personal growth.

Happy New Year's everyone, it's really nice seeing some of you have made it here.

May I ask why you felt there was stagnation?

I wrote that there wasn't any stagnation, which I'm thankful for. Though, to be honest, standing still kind of felt like moving backwards, if that makes any sense.

My apologies must have misread that.

And yes that makes sense, I’ve been there with student loans in the beginning. It felt like I wasn’t making any progress on the loans even though I would a ton every month for years
