Knowing the future is near on the same level as being able to change part of the past.

How? Give me a concrete example, you’re the second one to mention this and haven’t given me a logical conclusion to your statement

A change now to impact the future and a change in the past to impact the present are both situations where in some way a "potential present" is different.
