In the early months of the pandemic, the assumption—and hope—was that SARS-CoV-2 would not change too fast because, unlike most RNA viruses, it has a “proofreading” protein whose job is to prevent too many changes to the viral genome.
Huh kinda like it was made that way.
I'm pretty sure the chinese shit's origin goes straight back to a freak accident in a BSL3 facility in china running experiments requiring a BSL4 facility, but I have no proof of that. And who knows, maybe "the accident" was on purpose, sabotage or whatever you can imagine. But again I have no proof of that.
That being said, what I notice here, is that "the vast majority of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 clear the virus". Which is a clear indication that authorities throughout the world are totally overreacting here, with covid passports, full lockdown repeats to infinity, and such
Every man-made virus is made in a way that it cannot mutate too much, otherwise it could backfire. The gain-of-function research creates such highly optimized spike proteins that any mutation large enough to evade acquired immunity renders it useless.
We don't know if the lab-leak theory is just another story they tell us because they know what we think about the Chinese. The creation of the virus was an international effort. The point of release is most likely not the point of origin, similar to cyber attacks that use VPN. Some say that Italian tailors for the opening ceremony of the Wuhan Military Olympics were used to spread the virus. Others say the US athletes carried the virus and this was the reason for their poor performance.
Yeah it's possible that there's some truth in the official chinese statement essentially saying "it came from the US"
>China official says U.S. military may have brought COVID-19 to Wuhan
Who knows, whether intentional or not, in either case that's not like this is completely outside the realm of possible
Others say the US athletes carried the virus and this was the reason for their poor performance.
China china says that.
