The company I work for (as a contractor) has had a pretty big push to get staff to take the shots. We had a town hall yesterday to discuss it again, in light of the FDA approval for the Pfizer shot. One coworker who has been outspoken against shots and masks made the call extremely uncomfortable for the people hosting it.

It was epic.

In any event, she just told me she submitted her resignation because they refuse to listen to reason, and that at least two others she knows of are about to as well.

The people are waking up, I am starting to think.

I'm not sure resigning helps anyone keep our freedoms.

She is being very outspoken about the reason she resigned. It's all anyone is talking about right now. The points she made during the call were excellent. She told me her hope is to encourage others to leave - enough so that the company will rethink the policy.

Unless you have a better job lined up.

That's some pussy ass thinking right there, anyone worth their salt has inherent value, finding another job is no problem considering our forefathers killed and died for the Liberty to do so.

We should be so lucky as to only need to find new jobs. Make them fire you.

Any job that doesn't require or push for the poison jab is a better job.

I have told my boss that if I don’t receive an exemption I will put my two weeks in.

Make them fire you, and collect back some of your tax dollars in unemployment.

I’ve heard you don’t get unemployment if you are fired for that reason.

Edit: I’m fine doing it if that isn’t the case.

Fuck exemptions. I refused to sign mine and simply said "fuck you and your conspiracy theories. I'm done." But in politer terms.

Have you tried lynching?

Have you tried lynching?

Seems to be the only solution to fix this situation.

Have you tried lynching?

I have not.

Find like-minded people within the company and see how many you can come up with. Figure out how fucked the company would be if all of you quit or were fired for non-compliance. If you have a critical mass of people tell them to shove it up their ass and to fuck off.

The company is at about 60% vaxxed and the number hasn't increased much at all, even with the Delta fear-mongering. Hence the town hall. I'm not worried about them trying to force me because I can pretty easily find a new role. I am definitely open about not being vaxxed and about remaining so.

Must be slow business-wise right now if they have so much time to waste on this.

HR always has time for stupidity like this.

Don't quit. Make them fire you.

As a contractor, aren't you exempt from company mandates? You are not their employee although they are free to terminate your contract.

Correct. I am "at-will" and can be let go if they want to do so. I can also leave without notice, although that's a douche move and I've never done it.

I have specified in my contract that I won't be required to take a vaccine nor come into the office if they mandate masks.
