It is confirmed that the virus was created in a lab. It is likely that one of the labs in Wuhan used or even created the virus. But that doesn't mean that there was a leak. Violating Chinese security protocols can result in the death penalty.
Their next line of defense: Yes, it was deliberately released, but the Chinese did it. Proof: They did it in one of their biggest cities so they can point the finger to the US.

I've assumed it was created in Ukraine and released in China. If it ever was released and does exist.
Possible. The Ukraine labs were more used for experiments on the people around (contract work for the pharma industry) instead of virus development, but they could have tested SARS-2 variants there too.
