Bible tells us that giants were on the earth and were men of renown. I believe many "fictional" characters from our mythologies and many "historical" characters could be based on these giants. Zeus, maybe was a real giant, for example. Also, similarly.... Maybe the statue of david is life size. Maybe its not a statue of david but rather of goliath?
