There is another variant I've discovered over the years and they are the mirror people. They nod to what you say and smile when you make points but you know they are actively rejecting everything you say while cajoling you. That's why I enjoy that movie American Psycho everyone in that movie is a tossed salad of NPC's, Sociopaths, and Mirror People.
