At this point I'm convinced that all these wealth transfer schemes are a way to create a stream of revenue from which politicians may skim off the top whenever it suits them. Reparations and global warming are attempting to emulate the success of the Ukraine war and the Iraq war, both of which involved huge transfers of wealth and mediators that get to keep a cut.
