This is sadly a real lesson. This is how insanely stupid and dangerous laws get passed. Give the bill a name that no one would say no to or make it 25000 pages long knowing no one has time to read the whole thing.
Any bill that is not fully ready by those voting for it should be immediately dismissed.
All bills should be limited to one sheet of paper, front & back, and be written so the layman can easily understand it. They should also be limited to a single subject, none of this packaging crap unless it's to scrap an old law for the proposed new one.
Yep. No more pinning shit to other bills. No pre-writing massive bills waiting for the next "event" for the chance to propose it.
Anyone that believes that the Patriot act was written after 9-11 is not living in reality. They have hundreds, probably thousands of bills pre-written that they are just waiting for some public event to happen so they can catch emotional idiots at the right moment to try to pass it.
