The aim of the article was to disprove the narrative that the United States is racist against blacks and show that, in fact quite the opposite is true. I don't think it was the author's goal to go beyond that point but he does say:
Were Mr. Obama White, he would have stood no chance of being catapulted to the highest office in the land given his rather limited accomplishments at the time of his candidacy.
I don't think the author is bragging - just pointing out how liberals have completely failed to help blacks by destroying the institution of marriage aided by democrats who love to give blacks freebies in exchange for their votes.
