Not a surprise. Their cash cow, Dungeons and Dragons, has both gone full woke and is going online only. People are leaving in droves.
D&D is also easy to play without buying anythlng. I don't have time for it myself but I know some 20 somethings who play and they just look up stuff online for free D&D as a media franchise is also a weak concept, the fantasy genre is oversaturated. Unless they decide to make a big budget film based off of an official campaign without making it full of Marxist propaganda the only option is to milk it dry and move on.
Wow online only that seems really stupid.
*a quick search didn't show evidence of this.
Google "One D&D"
I'm still not seeing what you're talking about. I found article claiming they are giving up the One D&D name and the rule revisions are going to still be considered 5th Edition. I'm also seeing stuff about a virtual table top, which seems like a cool idea tbh, as long as you can still play the traditional way. But yeah, didn't see anything about them getting rid of physical books or anything like that.
