There was a 3.0 near as well. I doubt anyone noticed.
There's an 'old fault' called the that occasionally rumbles the area, but usually nothing more than 2 or so on the scale.
Realistically, you can't feel anything much below a 4.5 anyway. CA gets a 3-3.5 literally every day, no one notices those. A 5 will rattle the house good, but won't cause serious damage to a building built for it. East coast has a lot of brick buildings, I could see that being an issue for sure.
