Good, he should never have seen a courtroom at all. The invaders pointed a gun at him.

She said the Border Patrol ranch liaison, to whom Kelly reported Cuen Buitimea’s body, falsely conveyed to the sheriff’s office that Kelly had said he shot someone. So detectives came into the investigation believing Kelly had stated that he shot someone and failed to investigate other possible culprits, she said.

Kelly only admitted that he had fired his AK-47 about 30 minutes into a 50-minute interview with detectives that night, prosecutors said. That was after also failing to tell other law enforcement officers on his property earlier in the day that he had fired his weapon.

Never, ever talk to law enforcement! "I fully intend to cooperate with your investigation, but given the gravity of this situation, I would like to give a statement through my attorney." Then STFU.

Yeah I know, but it had been widely rumored to be the opposite. Even here…

So put’n it out there rather than let the correction get buried in an old post that may never get seen.

From the Poal link that you provided:

>The Arizona rancher who became the face of the border crisis after he was charged with shooting a migrant dead on his land will not face a new trial.

I think you're confused.

My bad, I guess I did not make it clear that I was referring to the jury count. Not about the acquittal itself. It had been reported or inferred that it was a 7-1 for conviction as in level_101’s post I provided when in fact it turns out the jury voted 7-1 for acquittal.
