TLDR; He won't tip if he orders standing up (fast casual, fast food, etc). To a degree it makes sense. I typically only tip somewhere like that if its a holiday and they are super busy since working days like that kind of suck.

I'm very annoyed at "tipflation". I don't tip for counter service. I've been asked to tip at completely automated stores, which I refuse to do. I've even been asked to tip a computer algorithm (at super.com) because it saved me money on a hotel. Can you fucking believe that?

That is fucking nuts. Its like going through the self checkout and being asked to tip the machine. Bitch, I did the job, you tip ME.

Now that you mention it, I hate going through self checkout lanes at grocery stores. The audio prompts are annoying and I'm being asked to be an unpaid cashier.
