The weatherman is always wrong. As for NOAA, sure they do some important work, but they're just as guilty as any government agency when it comes to waiting money. Per the article: the head of NOAA declined to comment on firings. The article did not say what the guy they talked to actually did there, just that he had been there for some time and was an expert in his field.
