It's done
Wasn't it supposed to be 700 miles?
Looks like they can just walk around the section behind him.
After hiking for a hundred miles maybe.
There were large sections that had no wall and easily crossed. This is far more than what we had before but it isn't complete.
Yep. Used to live in El Paso. About 20 minutes outside the city, the border was a 4 ft high barbwire fence in disrepair.
They said they were gearing up for the next section.
Actual new wall: 0 miles. Replacement fence is ~450 something miles, under 10 miles of actual new fence where nothing existed in the past.
I don't see the fact that no new wall was built as being a big deal. We've had a border with Mexico for a couple of hundred years now. I would imaging that the places that are the highest risk for crossing are places that have had some sort of structure/fence/wall already. I'd rather see the barbed wire fence outside of El Paso be replaced with a twenty-foot concrete wall than see some big wall built 35 miles from the nearest road outside of Asswipe, Tx.
Having said that, I wouldn't want to defend most of the behaviors Trump has engaged in during his time as president.
