Paid by the mile is a scam and people can make more doing entry level construction jobs. You don't get paid for your pre and post trip inspections, you don't get paid for when you need to fuel, and you make less in shitty weather because you can't cover as many miles in the same time you can in good weather. There's a fellow on YouTube who broke it down, and while he did make alot of money in his 3 years of driving it boiled down to less than $7 per hour. I was lucky to land a driving job hauling hazmat that pays hourly with overtime, and it's more of a drive and sit scenario where I'm mostly posted up at job site for a couple days to weeks raking in the cash. I would not trade it for OTR in any circumstance, especially paid by the mile jobs.
FJB He probably wants to give the jobs to the illegals
